Waited a month or so for my appointment with my primary doctor. Today at 8 AM I was seen by Dr. Matthew Mejia. Seems like the guy was in a hurry and only gave me three minutes or less to assess various of medical advice and issues that I have in my body. He kept on repeating “I have to go to my next patient, you have to make another appointment with your primary doctor”. I think he thought that I was a robot or something. This has to do with the faculty Dr. Mejia works with and their Covid protocols. They won’t accept patients to confirm Covid but will diagnose over the video appt. How can this be confirmed without an actual test. This is also why many get discouraged to get even diagnosed and would rather tough it out. Doing this continues the spread of Covid. Thank goodness I chose to go to UCLA med center off of Marine/Sepulveda they accept patients and give prescription in person.
Great bedside manner! That's what important to me. Doesn't treat me like just another patient but genuinely a sincere person.
Dr. Mejia listens and understands what’s going on. He didn’t try to talk me into anything I wasn’t comfortable with, he just presented the facts, so I felt included in my own health decisions. I highly recommend him.
