On time. Very empathetic. Answered all my questions thoroughly. Supportive. Always available. Takes his time to get to know you not only as a patient but as a person. He walked with me to the O.R. He was very kind, and really listened to my concerns . He reviewed my history and then made recommendations, he took the time I needed to understand what I needed to do to get to my goal .
After extensively looking for a bariatric surgeon, Dr McDonald was who I chose! He is an amazing physician and has a great bedside manner. His patients are a priority to him. He is available to you! Highly recommend!
Dr. McDonald is amazing! He is so nice and he’s a good sense of humor. I tell everyone about my surgery with him and how he made me feel so relaxed. He held my hand as I was going under. Those are things that you’ll never forget. Thank your Dr. McDonald for being such a wonderful doctor!
He is very dedicated to his patients and his practice. I am a nurse and recommend his services every day to patients since I experienced his expertise first hand. This doctor saved my life. He is truly one of the best physicians I have ever encountered .... and as a lifetime patient with many illnesses and comorbidities to diabetes I have seen a lot of them. He will not let you down.
Dr. M is fabulous! Awesome surgeon and I have recommened him to many, including my daughter and she loved him as well!! Super sweet, easy to talk to, explained everything in detail and overall an awesome experience! I yr post op today and living life to the fullest!!!!
Everything from surgery to post surgery was great. However they were slow on introducing foods back into the diet. I had gotten to the point that meat (protein) was boring and making me nauseous. Essentially I was becoming a vegetarian. 5-6 months post op they were not introducing enough foods for variety. This was based, as I was told, on past cases. Fine for data but everyone is an individual and the diet needs to be tailored as such. Overall needs to base on individual, not a data script.
Dr McDonald performed several surgeries while briefly at Saratoga Hispital in 2010. A breast lumpectomy smong two others. I was never rushed at appointments and all was explained thoroughly. I never encountered any issues at all. He is an excellent practitioner and I am so very happy he has returned to the area.
