If I could give 10 stars I would. I met with Dr. Carlson after having an awful experience with another doctor (Garcia-Soto at Texas Oncology in Plano). Something that really stood out to me with Dr. Carlson was how you didn't have to undress before he came in the room. I don't think I have ever experienced that in a doctor's office. He comes in, asks to hear what is going on, lets you explain things, answers questions, and THEN leaves the room so you can undress for an exam. I met Dr. Carlson after being admitted through the ER in McKinney. I’ll spare you the details, but I was done - frustrated, exhausted and anxious. First, the ER staff was great and when I met Dr. Carlson he was wonderful! He actually took the time to discuss options and listen to my concerns - I didn’t feel rushed at all. I felt totally heard. Dr Carlson is wonderful. He is attentive, he takes the time to listen to your concerns and medical history without making you feel rushed or unimportant. He is very thorough, he got the information he needed by talking with me first, without making me feel nervous or anxious- he gave me a "let's don't worry until we have something to worry about" vibe which was so comforting.
