I love Dr. Matthew Carlson. He truly cares about his patients. He's easy to talk to. Down to earth. Listens. And for myself I was absolutely terrified of having a hysterectomy. Scared id become Manish. Lol but true. He reassured me I wouldn't. He did my hysterectomy in December. My recovery time was short and hardly any pain. I see him regularly due to finding the beginning of cancer in my uterus. That was removed with the hysterectomy. And now he does checkups to ensure it doesn't come back. Just had my last appointment with Dr. Carlson this morning. He is amazing!!!! He did my hysterectomy and I will forever be thankful!!
If I could give 10 stars I would. I met with Dr. Carlson after having an awful experience with another doctor (Garcia-Soto at Texas Oncology in Plano). Something that really stood out to me with Dr. Carlson was how you didn't have to undress before he came in the room. I don't think I have ever experienced that in a doctor's office. He comes in, asks to hear what is going on, lets you explain things, answers questions, and THEN leaves the room so you can undress for an exam. I met Dr. Carlson after being admitted through the ER in McKinney. I’ll spare you the details, but I was done - frustrated, exhausted and anxious. First, the ER staff was great and when I met Dr. Carlson he was wonderful! He actually took the time to discuss options and listen to my concerns - I didn’t feel rushed at all. I felt totally heard.
