Dr. Makary is a caring, extremely competent and experienced pancreatic surgeon who takes the time to explain and select the most appropriate procedure for your condition. He is one of a handful of laparoscopic pancreatic surgeons in the country. I experienced minimal pain and a rapid recovery from my pancreatic procedure. His assistants were extremely competent and helped answer any questions I had pre or postoperatively.
