About this business
I went into medicine because I am fundamentally a %"people person.%" I became a pediatrician because taking care of kids offers the chance to make a real difference in a person's life. What I love most of all about my work is the long-term relationships I get to build with children parents and even grandparents. Being a part of people's lives as they change stumble learn and grow is a rare and wonderful privilege. That's why I love my job.

Would recommend any other doctor/NP at Durham Peds. When asked about a medical condition with which she was unfamiliar, she googled it in front of me, and hurriedly dismissed all of my concerns with multiple logical fallacies. She then implied I was a bad mother and wasn’t enjoying my time with my son for my concerns. She was not interested in having an intelligent conversation. I talked to another doc in same practice, was treated respectfully, and had tests completed to rule out the condition.
Office staff took over 20 minutes to check us in then Doctor complained about us being late. I know that's not Dr. Gagliano's fault but she was condescending to me on being here 15 minutes early and went on to describe what that means for a few minutes. When explaining the delay up front she quickly dismissed it and went back to her condescending tone. Her care was good, but we only had a regular check up and she spent about 3 minutes with us outside of her complaining. Respect your patients
