I have had chronic pain so far now for 5 years and I am 25. Dr. Neiderwanger told me he doesn't do trigger point injections but the website on Optim states he treats from a multi dydactic approach or meaning he tries to treat from many angles. But he immediately told me no and said he doesn't. Which is odd for a pain management clinic. Maybe he doesn't feel confident. I love dr Niederwanger and his staff. I have had back pain since I was a child. I have three herniated cervicals two fixed with surgery successfully. I have a herniated thoracic which dr. Niederwanger gives me shots in my back and finally I had a total fusion with instrumentation successsfully. Dr Niederwanger listens carefully and we make a plan from there. I've been seeing Dr Niederwanger for a couple years or so now. I find him to be highly competent in pain management. He dont just "throw" meds at you to lessen the pain. Different options to are discussed to keep the pain manageable and at bay. He listens intently to my concerns !!!! I don't understand the negative reviews. We couldn't be reviewing the same doctor. HE GETS 5-PLUS STARS FROM ME !!!!!!!

I went to Dr. N. many times since 2017 for back and knee pain. In the beginning he did a good job recommending the various forms of treatments for which I was satisfied. The last 2 visits for back pain were disappointing. I asked about seeing if there were any shots available to give me or to perform ablations on the nerves, but he told me that where I was having the pain in my upper middle back that those two treatments can't be done.
