Dr Heimmel did my lasik 3 years ago. Waking up and not fumbling for my glasses or messing with contacts is literally life changing. My only regret is not doing it sooner!
I was so excited to see Dr Heimmel is in East Windsor now. He did my cataracts years ago and recently did my son’s lasik. Our lives are so much easier without glasses especially since we both play tennis and pickle ball!

Last year, Dr. Heimmel performed my 2 cataract surgeries which did not go well. Although I had been a patient of his for many years, I was shocked at his poor bedside manner. I was seeing spots after the surgery and the next day, I had to fight to get him to see me rather than an optometrist who was on staff. My corrected vision was nowhere near 20/20 and in fact, I was unable to read ANY road signs clearly until I was 3 ft. away. Dr. Heimmel's response was that I was being picky! Dr. Heimmel thank you for taken care of me for so many years. Giving injection into the eye needs a steady and gentle hand. " He has all of that" I would recommend you to anyone.
I had LASIK done by Dr Heimmel a few months ago. It was quick, pain free, and completely life changing. He was recommended by friends who also had him as their family eye doctor. The best in the area!
