Had shoulder surgery with Dr Perko early Feb and I'm very pleased with the whole experience. Surgery went well, doctor came to see me in my room for a chat after the surgery, as well as the following day. I then had 5 different appointments with him during the following 3 months to check on my progress. Last but not least, kudos to Dr Perko personal assistant Kate Brookes who has been extremely helpful during the whole pre and post surgery process.
5 stars wish I could give more! I consider myself very lucky to have been referred to Dr Mark Perko for what turned out to be quite complicated wrist surgery following an accident. He was always pleasant, understanding, answered all my questions clearly and was always available when nursing staff in the hospital needed to contact him. He visited me every day post op in hospital, and as I am a regional patient, he has organised the appropriate follow-up. I would not hesitate to have surgery with him again.
Showed very little care or concern regarding my issue during the appointment. He did not actively listen to what I was saying and it felt like he was trying to rush me out the door, asked me very standard 'cookie cutter' questions without considering my medical history, in an effort to fill out his report hastily and get paid. Left feeling unheard and invalidated
Dr. Perko did my shoulder repair. He also did two for my dad. He is brilliant. I would not ever go anywhere else. Thank you Mark.
Dr Perko is fantastic, very personable, doesn't rush you, explains things properly and patiently, did a great job on a very complicated shoulder operation for me. I give him my highest recommendation. Chris Mansell
