I first Dr. Applefeld at University of Md. Hospital when I was under his care but once he competed his internship and I went to be seen as his patient at the Mercy Hospital he had his receptionist turn me away without any explanation and I could only see his face filled with anguish directing her to tell me he was not going to see me anymore. February 13, 2016 I first met Dr. Mark Applefeld in mid-May of 2009. A stress test had indicated that there might be a blockage in a coronary artery. That test result and a family history of heart disease certainly had my attention at that point. I was worried and concerned to say the least.
