When he referred me for an MRI he said he would call with results in “a day or two,” but his assistant told me if I didn’t hear, to call him. The MRI was on a Thursday. I hadn’t heard by Monday, so I called and left messages on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (when I was told he was out and had surgery all day Friday, also that he’s “really bad about getting back to patients”), and finally again the following Monday (today). At this point I *literally made an appointment with one of his partners for this week just so I ... read more
Dr. Thomas performed my Total Knee Replacement Surgery. During surgery he cut a nerve which left me with Foot Drop. For months he denied cutting a nerve, insisting that the surgery had gone well and that a nerve had just gotten pulled. After getting a second opinion from a Neurologist, it was confirmed that a nerve had in fact been cut. Dr. Thomas continued to give me pain pills for 4 months after my surgery when no other Doctor would. I would call his office, leave messages, he would never return my calls and then when I wo... read more
Dr. Thomas viewed my MRI and said I needed shoulder surgery. Since he was not able to schedule the surgery as soon as I had hoped, I got a second opinion elsewhere and was told I probably didn't need surgery. I ended up having two months of once-a-week physical therapy and my shoulder is pretty much back to normal. In light of my experience, I am glad I got a second opinion and was able to avoid surgery.
I had a total hip replacement by Dr. Thomas at the end of October. I was absolutely thrilled with the outcome. He was very professional and took the time to answer my questions. I really liked the hotel option for post surgery.
Dr Thomas performed a total knee replacement for me. The surgery was adequate but the follow up care was awful and he basically abandoned me at my last visit even though at 3 months I cannot walk unaided. He has not suggestions for next steps not did he examine the knee. I would never recommend DR Thomas or TRIA Orthopaedic.
Dr. Mark Thomas has been treating me with my knee problems for several years and recently after these treatments no longer worked did my TKA. His expertise during this time helped in my decision in knowing it was the right thing and the right time to do. He always answers all my questions and concerns with truth and I never felt rushed. His bedside manner is wonderful and when I scheduled the surgery I was assured I will be in great hands and I was/am.
I had both hips replaced by Dr Thomas and I could not be happier. His personality, bedside manner, professionalism and talent are above and beyond. He answered my questions, told me what to expect and my pain management was excellent. I would recommend him to everyone. Only downfall is, he is good and hard to get into see. Very booked.
