Very poor experience with Maine Eye Care. Our kiddo has been a patient there for 2.5 years. They lost their eyeglasses just before coming home for winter break freshman year in college. Maine Eye Care said they can’t make new eye glasses because the prescription is too old, they don’t have any open appointments for 2 months, and we should get care closer to our kiddo’s college campus. They were very rude about it. My goodness!
Excellent care, excellent service. I’ve been under their care since the late 90s.
The ophthalmologist was nice but the the staff is questionable. They kept asking me to get closer to the machine until my eye was touching the device. The day after the eye exam I woke up with some kind of infection and couldn't open my left eye. Eyelids were stuck together by some kind of crust. Had never experienced this before. The billing department adamantly told me it couldn't have come from them, even though they called in a prescription for it.
