Dr. Allara has been mine and my family's doctor for over 20 years. Because of how caring and knowledgeable he is, I always prefer seeing him over a nurse practitioner. Don't get me wrong, the nurse practitioners are caring too, but Dr. Allara has a lot more experience and knowledge. He was always able to figure out what was wrong when others couldn't. He even visits his patients when they are in the hospital. He also has the best sense of humor.
I have always been impressed at the time, thoroughness, compassion, and quality of care I have received from Dr. Allara and the staff at Middleton Family Medicine. Whether it be something minor like a sprained toe or full blown COVID / pneumonia Dr. Allara has always been rock solid in getting me the care I needed. At 58 and having lived in numerous states I've had a lot of PCP's. Mark Allara is - based on my first visit with him - one of the best. At my intake physical he took the time to get to know me, my lifestyle, my family situation ... THEN my medical history. He shared about himself and was thorough and courteous in the exam. I have been Dr. Allara’ s patient for over five years. He is an excellent physician and communicator. He is knowledgeable and stays up-to-date on latest medical developments. Everyone at the practice is friendly, professional and takes a real interest in my well-being. I think the practice is one of the best in Massachusetts.
Dr. Allara is an excellent physician. The problem is with the office staff at his location. I've had a couple issues with office staff. On one occasion they caused a 3rd party lab to bill me at the wrong address resulting in the bill going to collections. On the most recent occasion they sent notice of an appointment for my son which was originally supposed to be for my daughter. Except that the appointment was rescheduled a long time ago. Dr Allara has created the perfect one stop comfortable and friendly “home” for all medical needs. From scheduling appts or requesting meds it’s super quick and easy by calling or online. If your Dr is not available, there are other friendly professionals there to step in. Whatever my medical needs are- Dr Allara has a Doctor on-site for me to see! Also can get bloodwork and X-rays etc done there too They are there to accommodate you!
I had the great fortune to meet Dr Allara in his maternal/child residency at Beverly Hospital when I was in charge of labor and delivery.He was amazing with patients as well as staff and was very skillful in any situation or emergency. I was happy he set up his practice 30 min away and I was thrilled to be able to have him for my primary doctor! He’s brilliante and thorough as well as having a wonderful bedside manner! My husband and daughter are very happy to be under his care as well.
I saw Dr. Mark Allara yesterday for my annual physical, I had not seen him for 2 years and only saw him a few times before. He treated me as I had never left him and he remembered me. He spent an above average time with me and did a complete exam not skipping anything because he was rushed like I have experienced with other doctors. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a PCP.
It’s always a pleasure coming into Dr. Allarra’s office. The staff is always kind and welcoming. The nurses are the very best I’ve ever experienced, very knowledgeable & friendly. Dr. Allara is always very thorough and always makes me feel comfortable. I’ve had issues with tennis elbow and carpal tunnel syndrome as well as other issues over the years. Dr. Allara and his effective plan for treatment and referrals is always right on! I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else..
