Most people in their later years are faced with a cataract problem. I thought I just needed new glasses as I was really struggling to see and everything was a blur. Unfortunately for me the results of cataract removal and lens implants has been extremely disapointing. I have gone back to using my multifocal glasses and expensive multifocal sunglasses. I suffer from glare constantly and cannot drive at night. He and his wife are very nice and caring, but it's cost me $10,000 and I am worse off. I find it difficult to see lots of things.
Most people in their later years are faced with a cataract problem and just rely on their GP to recommend an opthalmologist to have them removed. I did some extensive research and asked my doctor for a referral to Dr Mark de Wet at the Buderim Eye Centre. I can't fault the treatment and the results to date. Dr de Wet is easy to talk to, listens to his patients and is very professional. His affordable fee structure made cataract surgery possible for me after a previous quote from another surgeon which was almost 3 times his rate and out of my reach. Very happy, very grateful. Judy K
