He was my surgeon from 78-95. He preformed all of my corrective surgeries (including 7 femoral osteotomies) for bilateral hip dysplasia. He allowed me to walk after Shriners Hospital could no longer help me. I owe 36yrs of mobility to Doc Olson! The past 11yrs have been because of Dr. Timothy Lovell, who preformed my bilateral hip replacements. Their combined knowledge and expertise have allowed me a relatively normal life of hiking, kayaking, skiing, water skiing, gardening etc. I can't thank Doc Olson enough! Love you, Doc... read more

I went to see Dr. Mark Olson after seeing two other Surgeons that both wanted to amputate my lower left leg mid calf... I had refused to give up on my leg amd demanded another entirely separate medical review before I would make my decision. Upon seeing Dr. Olson, he did a very thorough study of my file and tests, then physically examined my leg itself...afterwhich he opinioned that my leg, most probably could be saved but that it would not be a quick and easy, nor painless thing. Northwest Orthopaedic is fabulous and the various doctors there are , in my opinion, the best in their field. All of them, including Dr Olsen. The office staff and front desk people are genuine and personable. Definitely recommend!!!
