The front desk staff was very kind on the phone and Dr. Rieger changed my daughters life- she still talks about the funny magic tricks he did during our visit. He completely distracted her and was able to see the issue in her arm. Thank you!

Awful wait. Average about 2 hrs, no less than 1 hr in waiting room. Then another hour once you’re in exam room. And that’s for at least 5 years of scoliosis checks (but we stayed for continuity of care). But if you’re late 10 minutes they want you to reschedule— we were late once for 15 min and they refused to see him. Office shd not be overbooking or scheduling surgery that may overlap with office appointments. If you can’t take the half day off, go elsewhere.

My son is about to have a second elbow surgery to properly relocate the ulner nerve Rieger claimed to have properly relocated. Had we realized this we would have never let him touch my sons knee. My son needed 3 additional knee surgeries to repair the damage Rieger caused when attempting to repair his meniscus. Parents be ware - his EGO gets in the way. He does not listen. He feels he knows what is best for your child - clearly he does not. Please do not put your child in harms way. Hopefully this 8th surgery will be the las... read more

One of the most unbelievable experiences ever ! My daughter had a 3:10 appointment and we arrived at the building in Cedar Knolls at 3pm . Walked around trying to find the office , very confusing ! Walked in the office at 3:15 waited for window receptionist , who was rude !! I said hello we are here to see Dr Reiger . She looked at me like I had two heads ? Walked away , came back and said “he will not see you because it’s 3:17 and you are late “ . I was dumbfounded too say the least . I mentioned very calmly that we have be... read more

Had a terrible experience there with my baby. They exposed him to extra radiation because they couldn't work their computer to have access to st Barnabas x-ray files (which was the ONLY reason we chose to use this office) . Doctor laughed at me when I expressed concern about exposing my baby to an additional x-ray.

Dr. Rieger performed knee surgery on my son(dissecans osteochondritis). He has a great personality and made my son feel at ease during the initial consultation. The surgery was a success and after rehabilitation my son was back to full activity and sports. Now a few years later his knee is perfect. Now we are back for a shoulder injury sustained playing football. We have full confidence that Dr. Rieger is the best choice to perform the surgery.

Beware. He took my 17 yr old daughter in to same room as my 14 yr old son. Had them both wait naked except for paper robes for 45 minutes. Literally spent 15 minutes with both. Asked my daughter about her menstrual cycle and other personal questions in front of her little brother. Billed us more than $1,500. Terrible! Reporting for improper billing practices.

My experience with Dr. Rieger was absolutely terrible. I arrived at 1 hour prior to my appointment. This appointment was for a 2nd opinion. I brought all paperwork that was requested. The office staff needed the 1st opinion doctor's notes. (they never told me that) Dr. Rieger flat out refused to see me even though I had an appointment He never gave me the courtesy or respect of telling me personally. I wasted a day of work and took my child out of school to waste 2.5 hours.
