Years ago my husband who was a horrible alcoholic was treated by Dr McVey who then later gave him a prescription for Valium for his nerves 2 days later my husband died of an alcohol valium overdose
Sought help with Dr McVay on my own in March 2016. Was belittled and cursed at. Was put on such a high dose of suboxone that I couldn't even walk. He told me that would go away, and said I would be on it at least two years. I cut myself down and followed a tapering schedule. I was off the suboxone within 4 months. Told me when a dentist writes me a script for Norco that I would eat the whole bottle. Guess what Doc? Over 3 years clean and have declined any rx for Norco that has been offered. Horrible, bitter man. Doesn’t care about what you have to say, just sends you on your way.
if your honest and seeking help dr mark is the guy.i have never had a doctor like him,hes always been there for me and hes a very understanding person .
If you want to be humiliated for making a mistake, cursed at, and basically told what a failure you are, he's your guy! Perfect combo for what a struggling addict needs who has finally admitted they had an issue and reached out for help.
Not easily accessible not willing to understand or hear his patients problem
Does not spend but 10 minutes with you and sends you on your way with an obnoxious amount of suboxone. Foul language. No compassion or concern for the patient. You are treated like an alley junkie who is not worth his time. Horrible manners.
