When my significant other entered Dr. Eskandar's clinic, she required advice on some health concerns that have been apparent for several months. After being called in, my partner was told that only one issue was allowed to be discussed with the doctor. She was forced into choosing one of two pressing health concerns. I find Dr. Maria Eskandar to be unprofessional, uncompassionate and focused solely on financial gain. Here is my recent personal experience with Dr. Eskandar: I had a concern regarding a recent $50 fee I was asked to pay for the completion of a prior authorization medication reimbursement form, in addition to being required to attend an in-person consultation to fill out the form with the doctor. I applied to both Dr. Eskander and Dr. Beshay (at the same Shepard Centre medical facility) without knowing they do not allow it. I met with Dr. Eskander hoping to get to know her and find out what she was like as a person. I thought, as a prospective patient, it was wonderful that I would get to "interview" the doctor before deciding who to be a patient with. Very good for the patient to be aware of all options. The worst family doctor I have been to. Eskander does not listen to her patience, or has any understanding for anybody in pain or looking for relief of pain. I felt like I was treated like a dog.
