Dr. Shugol’s practice is appalling, I can’t fatham how this woman is permitted to continue. So abrasive and condescending, as mentioned in several other reviews. For me though, I was fortunate to have her dismiss 15+ years of behavioral/mental health diagnoses and call me (inaccurately) bipolar within 10 minutes of meeting me. Then she decided to wean me off of meds I’ve been taking for 17 years. Because she’s the expert. . . They give anyone MD degrees these day. This woman is a nightmare! !

Very condescending, did not listen to my concerns, rude & overbearing. When I inquired if I could do some research through my insurance company before a referral, she spoke over me several times & stated she cannot do 15 things at once and did not have time to hear about programs that my insurance company has. I never did receive a call from a foot specialist that I requested. I called the office today an was told they do not normally swap doctors so I am back to Rochester area, much better serv

When I started working in Concord over 5 years ago, I started going to Pleasant street doctors and started to see Dr. Shugol. She never has a good thing to say to me. Doesn't listen. Complains about doing extra work with dealing with Quest labs, which is a place my insurance pays for. I tried to go days when she isn't working and get someone else, but that isn't working out well either. I might change to a different office.

She has been my primary care for the past several years. I originally had signed up with her as I moved back to Concord from another state & needed a primary care physician. From the time I met her, she was cold, almost talking down to me. I refuse to go back and see her, yet I haven't transferred to a new doctor since moving out to the Seacoast area. I just use urgent care when I need something as she's that negative to deal with. FIND ANYONE but HER is my advice...

My grandmother went to see Dr. Shugol with pains in her arm that radiated up through her jaw. She was in so much pain she was not able to sleep for over a week. Dr. Shugol told her she was not getting pain medicine and to go home and take a hot bath and start PT. My grandmother ended up having an emergency stint put in because she had a 99% blockage to her heart and she had been having heart attacks..I feel like Dr. Shugol did not take my grandmothers pain seriously and missed something huge.

I would not recommend Dr. Shugol for a physician. She doesn't review the patients chart fully prior to the patients appointment and it shows. I found her preconceived decisions frightening as she is too quick to jump to conclusions without reading the health hx and listening to her patient. If you are looking for a doctor that gathers information prior to stating rude comments and jumping to conclusions, this isn't the doctor for you. She's unorganized, resulting in unnecessary frequent visit.

I try to avoid going to my PCP office as much as possible, because of how unpleasant the interactions can be. I appreciate a provider being direct, however her style is brash and at times insensitive and condescending. Little to no shared-decision making. I know of multiple people, who also see her with similar experiences and observations. These interactions are the epitome of what is wrong in healthcare.

Very thorough and knowledgeable but not a pleasant person to work with.
