Dr. Margaret Young has performed two root canals for me, and I could not have been more pleased with the care I received. I have never met a more competent, knowledgeable dentist than Dr. Young. I needed root canal ( her specialty as an endodontist) to save a tooth and she did. But what I love most about Dr. Young is her experience, knowledge that she shares of what options are available with problem teeth ( and I have a few). Example: the tooth that was saved was the last upper but fragile as it's a cap. She advised me to have an implant next to the crowned tooth so that the pressure on the tooth that she just saved would not take all the beat... read more

Never having had root canals before, I can only compare the horror stories of others. Dr Young explains what she is going to do, and why. Her work is very well within acceptable pain parameters. When she finds pain, she administers drug and time to wait it out. If she runs into trouble she explains what it is and why. I had some pretty tough work to do, due to cancer, and she and her gang seem to be excellent at their craft. (Plus she has little hands!) There are movies. Is that normal?
