Almost 10 years ago a friend encouraged me to go to Melbourne from Queensland to see Dr Carey. After many years of unexplained pelvic and lower back pain I finally found someone who listened. Dr Carey removed my mesh device. A few years later I had a native tissue repair that has further improved my quality of life. Dr Carey gave me my life back. Due to the severe trauma I had been subjected to in 2013 when Anterior Elevate mesh was implanted, I had put several conditions in place for any surgery to protect myself from further harm. One advantage of being an RN is the ability to network with in the medical profession. Dr Carey was recommended by a friend who works with him in theatre.
