My husband and I have both been seeing Dr. Safran for several years and find him highly skilled, thorough, and professional. His manner varies somewhat depending on how busy he is, but he responds to questions even at his busiest, answering them clearly and thoroughly. I trust his judgment and experience. I also found his staff polite and helpful.
I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes and was extremely happy. No pain post op or any issues Specialty surgical center was great as well . I thought the office staff was professional and pleasant. I would certainly recommend him.
“Dr. Safran did my Strabismus surgery. The surgery made everything about my vision worse. I was told I should have it done, but was never told about what could possibly happen as a negative result. Safran assured me I had nothing to worry about and that it was a simple surgery. I never saw double before my surgery, (other than "ghosting" from Astigmatism). Dr Safran told me I do not have astigmatism... even when I explained what I was seeing, specifically at night. Ended up telling me I needed to have eye muscle surgery, so I did. But after going through the surgery my astigmatism became even worse. When I explained this, all my concerns were dismissed and not given clear answers. So I went to another doctor who told me that I DO in fact have astigmatism and that I now need glasses. Never needed them before the surgery. I love this doc. His staff leaves room for much improvement, but he is awesome. My whole family goes to Dr. Safran, and we all love him. Very experienced, knowledgeable, humorous, keeps up w world events so we've got something to talk about during every visit. Just a very talented guy all around. Very clean, stylish office. Short wait time.
Didn't like the way he dismissed our concerns. Didn't take me aside to talk about concerns, was very blunt in front of my daughter.
