Dr. Bateman cares deeply about her patients and everyone with ME/CFS. Having ME/CFS and its comorbidities is brutal. Dr. Bateman understands what I am (we are) going through like no other. She is passionate, kind, supportive, and she is an excellent listener. She also isn't afraid to tell you when you are falling short as a patient. Dr. Bateman has diagnosed, tested, encouraged, directed my ME/CFS for decades. I have appreciated her oversight, skill and knowledge. Often there are problems that may or may not be associated with the illness, and she is quick to monitor, refer and advise. Besides that, she understands how emotional and mental health are effected by the disease. Her advocacy for the illness and for me, individually, has been, yes literally, lifesaving.

My wife has been a patient of Lucinda Bateman's for 11 years, and she has felt very fortunate to have been. Lucinda is extremely knowledgeable about the chronic illnesses: Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic Encephalomyalitis (sp?), Fibromyalgia and other related illnesses. She is a leader in the field--literally. Her attitude and communication with all her patients is very commendable.
