Louis Chiara has been my Dermatologist for more than 25 years. He has successfully treated my various skin cancers and other minor skin irritations. His treatments have always proved positivedoing only what was necessary and giving good followup instructions. He is a good listener and answers my questions with patience and honesty. He takes time to talk to me to assess how I am doing as a person (not just a patient). Louis Chiara has become a friend to me!
I have been going to Dr. Chiara in Milford for many years as I have a history of malignant melanoma lesion on my leg. He has also helped me with adult acne. Most recently he and his staff helped me get through a very bad case of persistent poison ivy allergy with rash and infection. When I called the office, they got me in the same day. They immediately gave me the correct medication and then had me return within two days as it was very bad case. My whole family including my 97 yr old mom have been going for over 10years. He treats everyone the same. Very compassionate about his work and thorough. Always has great stories to share.
Great first time patient visit, kind and friendly Staff, very professional, Dr Chiara was considerate, answered all my questions, very trustworthy in his decisions for my care.
I visited Dr. Chiara's Milford office a couple of weeks ago. I was greeted by a friendly, professional staff as soon as I entered. His nurse was helpful and kind. My former Dermatologist Dr. Blum had retired and I had a hard time finding someone to fill his shoes. Dr. Chiara did that and more. He is incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. Highly recommend.
My Son hadn’t seen him in a yr because he went as needed . He got covid so we called Dr Chiara because of a rash . The dr was closed but returned our emergency call and even immediately set up a tele health visit to diagnose my sons covid rash . He even called back 3 x that week over a weekend . None of the other doctors called to check on him . I was very impressed with Dr Chiara . His staff is great also!
I have never written a review, good or bad, about anything on the internet before. That being said, time after time I have a horrible experience when I deal with this practice. My average wait time in the office is over an hour, and is always met with the same excuse of "It's one of those days". After being called back in the office on "one of these days" I can hear him idly talking with his staff instead of treating patients. The only reason I stayed this long was insurance reasons.
He was wonderful, his staff was wonderful. My visit was pain free and fast. Plus I was late, and no one made a big deal about it.
