Absolutely amazing! I went to Dr. Nakanishi as a child for my wandering eye! She was always so nice and made me excited to go to the eye doctor! So amazing in fact that when I got my surgery to fix my eye she made sure I wasn’t the least bit scared to have it done and although she didn’t perform the surgery she guided me and my parents through the whole journey and was there through the whole thing! To this day the best thing I’ve ever done and it wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for her recommendations and kindness!
I was told at the start time of my appointment that the doctor was not there yet and coming from the VA so I had to wait. Not a problem really since the tech called us in almost immediately after that. I had my son with me who had been previously diagnosed a year ago with a number of eye issues. The tech was kind and took time to fully understand why I was there. Three previous doctors had also agreed over the past year of my son's eye issues. Dr. Nakanishis is great. She was very thorough, and in the mean time she was smiling and joking with my so that made him so comfortable and made the exam go so smooth. I would definitely recommend seeing her because she works with heart. Great doctor.
Do NOT see this doctor for pediatric care, it was the worst experience ever. She should not be allowed to see children. The doctor was 2 hours late, because she had a meeting with the dean at the same time that she was not aware of (yes she actually told us why she was late). My child had to wait two hours. This was her first time at the eye doctor, the doctor had no patience or bedside manner since she was running two hours behind schedule.
