I met with Dr. Lily Kao this week and left the appointment feeling dismissed and unheard. I came in with concerns about possibly having lupus, based on symptoms I’ve been experiencing joint pain, fatigue, and trigger finger, and a prior rheumatologist who had told me lupus was a possibility and advised follow-up during a flare. Dr. Kao is very understanding and has been extremely helpful in treating my condition. I was surprised to read some of the lower reviews, as she has been exceptionally supportive and effective in my experience.

I'm a 23-year-old woman currently struggling with disabling, undiagnosed symptoms that have drastically impacted my ability to function day to day. These include joint and muscle pain, extreme fatigue, weakness, chest tightness, breathing discomfort, and a positive ANA (1:80, dense fine speckled pattern). receptionist, upon making the appointment, told me that the dr. would review my existing x-rays. upon arrival, the dr. said i needed an ultrasound. when asked the price, she marched out of the office without any consultation at all. i was billed $180 for nothing. if i could give zero stars, i would.
