What I’ve experienced with Dr. Rhee at Liora over the past few months has been bad enough that I feel a responsibility to warn others. Please do not go here. There were smaller things in the beginning that were pretty off-putting, but that I could deal with, like long waits to get into a room, even longer to see Dr. Rhee, staff that seemed tense with each other, seemingly unnecessary and frequent office visits, and constantly being pushed to buy products. I came to Dr. Rhee because I had some suspicious spots from the sun. Her care and follow-through were excellent throughout, and her office is inviting and beautiful. She was also very friendly, and her staff treated me nicely. There was virtually no wait time, which is rare in Manhattan. I can't recommend her enough! Thank you, Dr. Rhee!
Went here three times, was rushed through the appointment every time, and was upsold on several products that I could buy at the drug store for $15. The doctor was very nice and actually helped some issues, but was a poor experience and will not be going back.
While the staff was consistently kind, I would caution others about visiting this practice unless you’re prepared for frequent upselling of costly products and laser treatments. I was routinely prescribed basic acne medications that cost over $90 out-of-pocket, in addition to being encouraged to purchase expensive moisturizers and masks that weren't necessary or effective. Sat in cold office in paper gown for half an hour..Dr. came in for less than 5 minutes and gave cursory skin check. When I asked her to return and pointed out a scaly spot on back of calf, she replied that I had ‘lots of spots’ and left the room.
