Saw Dr Lafer who did not use lubrication on me when performing a vaginal exam (w/fingers & with a speculum). I’m having discomfort (burning) every time I use the bathroom now because she broke the skin. She knew I was in pain too! She also didn’t have anyone else in the room with her while doing this. I’m not even sure what she did with the speculum that she pulled out of the exam table drawer. It wasn’t in the garbage, the counter or the sink. I have been going to Dr. Lafer for about 8 years. Dr. Lafer is very punctual with her time which was great and took early appointments which allowed me to go in b4 work. I have undergone 2 surgeries with Dr. Lafer and both went well. She talked me through both situations allowing me to make the best decision for me and my family at the right times. I am very happy with the care that she has given me over the years.
I was a patient of Dr. Lafers for the last four years. Her bedside manner was always good and the care I needed was always given in a pleasent manner. It was in fact her bedside manner that kept me going back after being charged $225 to have a skin tag removed; I did not request it be removed, she just cut it off and billed me. If I could give “Dr.” Lafer 0 stars, I would. This woman should have her license taken away. She botched one of my family members surgery, causing her years of severe trauma that resulted in another surgery, extensive medical bills, and years of healing physically and mentally. After she realized what she had done, she refused to speak or handle the situation because of legal issues.
