I ended the virtual appointment after being told my symptoms were due to stress and not OCD because they appeared suddenly, which is not part of the DSM diagnostic criteria. Two other psychiatrists, one before and one after this appointment, have formally diagnosed OCD. Given how severe and impairing my symptoms were, being told it was simply stress was dismissive and makes me concerned that future patients who are genuinely struggling may not receive a proper diagnosis or appropriate treatment.
Dr. Leanne Martin has been my psychiatrist for over 5 years. She has been very helpful in managing my conditions.

Best psychiatrist I have ever had!!! She really listens and has helped manage my symptoms that I have struggled with for so long, I’m not sure what I would do without her!
