Was taken to St. Charles by ambulance having passed out at a friends house. At the emergency room it was determined that I was extremely low on blood and Dr. Hartwell did two procedures, upper and lower GI exams and determined that I had a burst vein in my lower esophagus an a colonoscopy indicated a ulcer in my lower abdomen. I was impressed with the time and effort she took to make sure I understood what was happening and what she found. A consummate professional with a human touch!
Dr. Hartwell is very sharp. She always reviews my chart before we meet, and is up to speed on my condition. I have confidence in her.
She was very diligent in finding out what caused my problem , and has followed up yearly with more appointments as needed. She’s on time, virtuous and very respectful and is a great doctor.
Dr. Hartwell is on top of her profession. So glad I chose her for my gastroenterologist after my previous one retired. I trust her implicitly.
She is great about listening to my concerns, never makes me feel like she is in a hurry (though I know she is insanely busy) and she is very proactive about getting testing done and always returns messages. Very happy with her care!
I love my Dr Hartwell.She is caring and efficient. She had big shoes to fill with Dr Henderson leaving but she has my every confidence. I have a complicated medical background and I know she will take good care of me.
She insulted me right off the bat, wont listen to what I say, I've literally had the issue longer than she has had her degree. Wants unnecessary things done, and she wont stop saying "ok, ok, ok, ok, ok,ok" she needs to get that tick looked at
