About twelve years ago, my Mother was seeing this man for an 18 month long bladder infection. After several treatments and prolonged pain, I decided to research more into the causes. Came in very concerned - walked out feeling that I'd really been taken care of. She's a healer and very knowledgeable. the staff and assistants were great too. cheerful and easy to be around especially when you're not feeling well.
Dr. Zimmerma was so thorough, eliciting information from me I hadn't even thought of to diagnose my condition. She is calm and makes you feel like you are important, a partner in your own health. I've been very impressed.
Office staff was efficient and easy to work with. Everything was professional and well explained. I appreciated Dr. Trate's time after my procedures to explain everything and provide me a full report for my records.
I had a huge kidney stone which lodged in my urethra, causing tremendous pain. Dr. Marinakis tried lithotripsy first, with no result and then had to use a laser to break up the stone. He was great and I feel very fortunate to have had his expertise. Great guy too. Served in the Army as an Apache helicopter pilot, with several deployments!!
I have had two colonoscopies performed by Dr. Trate. The day I went for my pre-op visit the ladies in the office/scheduling were very efficient. The day of my procedure they were ready for me at my appointment time. Everyone kept me informed and explained in detail what they were going to do and gave me a time frame. Dr. Trate explained to me his findings and answered all of my questions. I would not even consider going anywhere else! 100% Awesome!
Dr. Marinakis was very thorough and listened to what I had to say. I did not feel rushed or dismissed in my care. Highly recommend!!!
Dr. Marinakis saved my life! In 2017 I had outpatient surgery by my OBGYN of 30 years from another state. When I returned to my home in the Boone/Banner Elk area, my husband took me to the ER in Boone because I was in much pain. Dr. Marinakis was the Urologist on call.
