We have used Dr. Simmers for all 4 of our kids from birth. He always makes my kids feel at ease and answers any parent concerns/questions quickly and accurately. The perfect compliment to our busy lives, he is a gem at White-Wilson.
My son went to Dr. Simmers a few days before Christmas because we were seeing my 82 year old father. Dr. Simmers only test for strep. He did not test my son for the flu, which my husband went to his doctor and tested positive for flu. I would rather go to a back ally doctor in Tijuana then ever see Dr. Simmers again. I have called the office and please begged them to put a note on our file. That we never want to be seen by him again.
Dr. Simmers made me extremely uncomfortable when I took my son for a check-up. I just got off the phone with Tricare to switch my son's PCM. He didn't take my concerns seriously and he was TOO touchy-feely with my son and constantly kept saying, "You're so handsome.", and "You're so cute.", to my son. I understand he is cute he gets that compliment a lot, but this felt uncomfortable as well as inappropriate. My children have seen Dr Simmers for the last 6.5 years. He is very thorough with his appointments, has called us to follow up and check in, and just really shows he cares. I appreciate his bedside manner and the way he shares information. We would give 10 stars if possible!
