My dad saw Dr E the other night in the ED. This doc is by far one of the most intelligent, empathetic and skilled physicians I have met And I should know having worked in healthcare and with physicians over 30 years. Great bedside manner. Explains things clearly. Took his time with us even though it was a supper busy night.
The entire encounter was bizarre. He was dismissive at best. When naming symptoms, he was not listening. We had to repeat history twice during the visit, and he did not address our concerns. When asked to address those concerns, he says, "I have to tell a man he's dying of cancer, and my shift is over in 30 minutes. You are the least of my concerns." He walked out.
