Dr Fuiks is the only one I would go to for back issues he explains everything very well and his team members are great and care about you.
Lack of overall interest, talied with him on the phone prior to making an appointment only to drive for over 2 hours to be told that losing 3 inches of height in my mid 20's is normal and that in my 40's that my back is normal for people my age. Not sure how these people are permitted to practice medicine, but it's sad and unacceptable.
Terrible! He misdiagnosed a back injury after looking at a cervical MRI, when the problem was in the thoracic area. His original diagnosis did not explain the inability to walk that my husband had, but he stated “I am the neurosurgeon!!” He was dismissive to us and the hospital staff. Luckily, we had an informed hospitalist who steered us in the direction of another neurosurgeon who operated on the correct area of the spine. If we listened to Dr. Fukis, my husband would have had unnecessary surgery on his neck area, and he w... read more
Stay away from Dr. Fuiks. We went for a consultation with him for my mom's brain tumor. When he was holding the model brain, his hand was shaking, maybe tremors. I'm sure when he was in early years he was a great surgeon. Your body takes a toll from being a surgeon for all those years. We decided to get my mom transferred to another hospital to have surgery performed by another surgeon. I'm so glad we did. In fact when we called to notify the nurse of the cancellation of the surgery, Dr. Fuiks got on the phone saying you kno... read more
He did an amazing job on my back surgery, always made me feel comfortable with my decisions and was never forced into surgery! His nurse was there for me every step of the way not matter what i needed and what times of teh day it was they both answered my calls. Please see this surgeon & his staff. Highly recommend 100%
Extremely compassionate physician. I was visiting Wisconsin and needed to have a meningioma removed. I couldn’t have been in a better place. I would highly recommend Dr. Fuiks!!
Dr. Fuiks is a terrible doctor. Absolutely no bedside manner. Does not respect the family of the patient at all. Does not listen to family at all. Barely listens to the patient. Let me ask you this, is it normal for a patient to have a HOLE, that is right, a HOLE in the incision for months after the surgery, that kept draining?!?!? My 80 yr old dad had to pack this hole 2 times a day, for my mom for months upon months. It took a plastic surgeon to fix his mess. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MAN.
Dr. Fuiks is an excellent surgeon with an impeccable bedside manner. He explains everything throughly and takes his time with you. He is very matter affect and gives you options. His office staff is the most friendly I have experienced. Top notch doctor!
STAY as far AWAY from this man and his office as you can. I understand how many years of schooling he had to do but in the end, he puts his pants on one leg at a time just like us. Many times my parents were in his office for an appointment, have been waiting for 2 hours, only to have them say they had to cancel their appointment for the day. What my parent had to go thru at the hands of Dr. Fuiks, no one should have to endure that. Please, Please, research other doctors and pick them.
