Both Dr. Shahlaie and his staff left a lot to be desired. Very poor if any communication. We were told that the surgery would resolve issues for 5-10 years. It didn’t even last one. He left after performing the surgery and never spoke to family about it. Appalling. His nurse prescribed an antibiotic that is not recommended for the demographic and my mother ended up hospitalized for sepsis. I cannot conscientiously recommend him.
Had meningeoma tumor. I was so impressed by Dr. Kia Shahlaie. He’s highly intelligent in his field as a neurosurgeon, explains every detail of surgery. He is caring and compassionate about you, your family and outcome. He and his team are the best. I highly recommend Dr. Kia Shahlaie. I came through surgery and was up and walking and discharged the following day. Dr. Shahlaie is a rare breed among doctors. Not only is he top of his peers in experience, knowledge and technique, but he has compassion and explains everything so well all while taking excellent care of his patients. I went from being diagnosed with a brain tumor to full surgery in less than 3 weeks. A scary experience to say the least! But thank goodness I was referred to Dr. Shahlaie! He got all of my tumor all while using minimally invasive cutting edge techniques.
Dr Shahlaie is an amazing surgeon with a great bed side manner. He explains everything in great detail. I just had a surgery performed by him and it went great. I highly reccomed seeing him.
Best care you could hope to receive. Always considers the best and least invasive type of treatment. All colleagues and staff are wonderful providing excellent care.
