Dr Pounds is a great doctor. He is thorough, responsive and proactive. I am glad I have him. I am in my 60s and have had several internal medicine physicians and he has been one of the best!
Avoid at all cost! You can show him a blood test indicating an infection. You can show him an xray with clouds on your lung. His response is the same: "come back in 6 months for a physical." No diagnosis, no specialist, no tests, no medicine, no hospital, no nothing. Dangerous! Avoid!
My father was a Family Practitioner and am myself a retired nurse. Dr. Pounds has been my PCP since 2001 except for the 5 years I was living in Casa Grande. He is truly an exemplary physician. His attention to detail, explanation of care plans etc. is ideally what anyone could want in their physician.
As a physician myself, I can recommend Dr. Pounds. He is thorough, kind, efficient, and put my 18 year old son and I both at ease. He ordered appropriate labs, and quickly sent in appropriate prescriptions. It took several months to get in to see him, but it was worth the wait.
Dr. Kevin Pounds was my doctor for 10 years and was by far, the best physician I have ever seen. I have had chronic health issues my entire adult life, and he was the one doctor who managed it the best because he was an excellent listener and up-to-date with the latest medical research and practice. I trusted him so much that I had my mom switch to his care after her stroke and he provided expert care until she passed away at 89 years of age.
