This doctor is supposedly caring for my 97 year old mom. She broke her leg and has been disoriented. She got mad at his nurse and when I called his office the Doctor berated me, said he will no longer care for her and then hung up on me. Where's the empathy for the aged?!?!
Dr. Hohnwald is the best Dr. around., He is knowledgable, takes time to listen to you, when you are in with him, he acts like you are his only patient. One can always feel they are getting the best care around. His chairside manner if calming, and he is approachable.
I have been a patient of Kevin Hohnwald for over 10 years until today when I could not pay a $500 Bill that my insurance refused to pay for a Covid test when I seen him three months ago he said don’t worry about it today I went. I could not financially afford to pay any money. I live on Social Security and I am a widow. he informed me that I would have to find another doctor if I could not pay the balance, therefore I’m in need of a new doctor now
Great, Caring doctor
He listens to my uneducated concerns and always makes sure I understand what he is explaining about my family’s health concerns. His staff is warm and personable and extremely helpful anytime I have ever had insurance or any other needs. Im grateful to have Dr Kevin Hohnwald for my family
Dr Hohnwald took the time to discuss all of my concerns and answer my questions. He is a caring, patient doctor who will tell you like it is.
He is unreachable by phone or email. His nurse takes 5 days to reply to a phone message, if you get a reply at all
I have grown up in Sarasota and lived here over 30 years. This is the best primary care doctor hands down. With my large extended family we have seen more than 20 primary Care providers between all of us over the years. Dr Hohnwald is the real deal. My only concern in writing this review is that people will find out that he is one of the best primary Care docs in town and he will get way too busy like the other people Mills in town (not that he would let that happen). An Interested, compassionate, understanding physician. I first came in contact with Dr. Hohnwald over the telephone. I took my spouse to the emergency room & had to leave him there because of COVID restrictions. Dr. Hohnwald called me & told me he was holding my husband overnight for observation; overnight became 11 days. Almost every day, Dr. Hohnwald called and gave me status reports.
