Patients are seen at scheduled appointment times, and our recovery counselors provide continuous group meetings throughout the day. Dr. Catney is board certified in Addiction Medicine, and board certified in Family Medicine. He has completed residency training in Family Medicine, and Fellowship training in Emergency Medicine. He has over 20 years experience. We are serious about recovery at East Tennessee Pathways.

One of the most competent and personable Doctors I have ever worked with.
Talking to catney is like talking to a friend of the family. He's down to earth and real. He helps as much you let him. If you give him 100 % he will give you 110%. You can talk to him about anything and everything. You're not just another dollar sign to him. You are a real person and even though I'm sure he's heard a lot of the same problems, excuses and reasons but you'd never know cause you get his full undivided attention at all times

DR. Carney is one of the most caring doctor I have ever been to.he's nice and threats you with respect helps you in anyway he can and so as the rest of his staff they are great ppl and caring all of them they are like family.Without the knife lol.
Dr. Catney is best doctor I have encountered to date. He has a deep caring about your whole health. Many doctors will focus on the specific issue in front of them, which can cause them to miss the forest for the trees. He's very knowledgeable, pragmatic, sensible, and has a great bed side manner. Dr. Catney is restoring my trust in the healthcare system.
