Please stay away from this doctor. He misdiagnosed my mom for 2-3 years saying it’s depression, changing medication because it wasn’t working every time we visited. But it only took 1 hour with a psychiatrist (over a zoom call) from my home country to figure out that she has dementia. We traveled abroad and did all the exams and within 5 days she has been diagnosed with FTD. Like said, if your parent is 65+ and has symptoms of depression maybe it isn’t. He is the absolute worst psychiatrist I have ever had. Never sent over my medication to cvs pharmacy and I have been calling the office during business hours and no one ever answers. I even called his offices in Union and Monmouth county and nothing. Will never go back to him again. I hope his practice goes out of business
Dr. Ketan Hirapara is a very thoughtful and patient physician. He explained everything about my condition and ensured that my issues were properly addressed. Furthermore his staff was great at following up post visit and it was really easy to communicate with him. I am thankful for his excellent bedside manner and his friendly staff.
