Over the years, Dr. Wood has proven herself to be a great doctor for me. She holds me accountable for the things I need to do in order to improve my health, but not in a scolding or unpleasant way, and at my request. The practice, alas, is pretty awful about scheduling timely, and this goes back to the pre-pandemic era, so she loses a star for that even though it is, quite frankly, out of her control. I like and respect her, especially as we both get older.
Echoing the review of Sheila. I have felt gaslit and crazy-made at every turn. Having a reasonable level of concern for my health has been framed as “preoccupation with health” when I have never received that feedback from other providers. When I have real symptoms they are chocked up to “somatization”. Wants me to return over and over again for symptoms she says I have not told her about because I can only talk about one thing per visit. I really enjoy going to Dr. Wood. Over the years she has always made me feel very comfortable and has been a great primary care provider.
I will no longer be going to Legacy Medical Group NW. Kenna Woods and some of the MAs at this practice do not practice patient-centered care and make decisions about the patient without having even spoken to the patient. Many providers have left this practice and there seems to be a lot of turnover. Our experience is one of a hostile environment and lacks any responsible involvement of the patient in decisions about their care.
