Dr. Kelly Cowen has been my primary care physician for about 25 years. She is very thorough and thoughtful. She has always listened and discussed with me any and all of my concerns during my appointments, as well as answer my questions through the patient portal. I have referred her over the years to friends and family members who have felt the same way. Dr. Cowen is a wonderful physician and I'm so happy to be under her care.
In April 2023, I had a 30 minute teleconference with Dr. Cowen that was a waste of my time. I was referred to her by my PCP as the Privia "house" expert on marijuana use for medical reasons. Her response to my questions regarding dosage issues as well as alternative forms of consumption were evasive and open-ended. She seemed unwilling or incapable of offering useful information, such as the likelihood of developing tolerance/dependency at various levels of consumption.
