The world needs more doctors like Dr. Foote. My fiance was seriously injured when a tree fell on him. He was in trauma ICU for a week and even when being discharged we weren't given a clear picture of how extensive his injuries were. UF gave us discharge paperwork with a date for a follow up appointment, a few prescriptions that with no indications about how to get refills, or who to contact, or what to expect afterwards. Dr. Kelly Foote took time to explain things to me and answer all my questions. I appreciate his humor and everything he does to make you feel comfortable in the operating room.
Dr. Foote is a fanomable surgeon. He includes his patients in his decision process and thinks outside of the box for solutions.
Dr. Foote solved and cured what had been a lengthy battle with brain, skull, and shunt MRSA following a previous trauma (motorcycle accident) that had resulted in craniectomy and multiple cranioplasties. Eleven brain/cranial surgeries later, Dr. Foote generously took my case, met with me for TWO hours, admitted me for surgery at Shands two days later, and had me fixed and out the door for a new life in less than a month. Very detailed very meticulous in the way he explains what's going to happen how it's going to happen and how it should end up I am extremely happy that I went to him.
