I am a disabled veteran that was never examined in the military after falling 30 ft from a telephone pole 27 yrs ago. I had hoped this dr would do a test. I’ve seen Dr. Odegard for both my left Shoulder and my right knee replacement. I couldn’t recommend a better Dr. To give you a little background on me. I’m a recovering addict but he never made me feel like one. I told him my whole story and he said ok we can deal with that. That’s usually where the drs tell me I’ve got to go somewhere else but he didn’t. I was sent to his office for possible carpal tunnel. He came in to the room I was waiting, I believe I was the first patient of the day. Didn't feel the warm welcome I felt he should have been displaying per the Mercy standards. Was ruff with my hand, while examining me. He said if I wanted it to get better i needed to stop what I doing which I couldn't as it is part of my everyday job.

When I fell down a flight of stairs and sustained a severe sprain, Dr. Odegard told me I should be walking in 2 days. He said I should be doing various activities in an insanely short period of time. I couldn't bear any weight on it without excruciating pain and his expensive advice would have resulted in more severe injuries and surgery. Follow up doctors couldn't believe his poor and unprofessional advice. His exam caused more damage and hurt worse than the initial injury. Didn't listen!!
