One star, only because I can’t give a zero star rating. Just witnessed (and got on video) the worst case of malpractice I’ve ever seen in a birthing room, including intentionally disconnecting monitoring while claiming she can’t find the baby’s heartbeat. Please, for the safety of your baby and to avoid birth trauma- stay so far away from this doctor, if it’s at all possible. Amazing doctor so thankful with her for delivering my son
My daughter died at 38 weeks because dr Mahajan dismissed all my symptoms. I showed every sign of preeclampsia and she assured me I didn’t have it when two days later my baby died and I almost died of preeclampsia. I had extreme swelling, high blood pressure, sudden major weight gain and she said it was due to over eating and stress from the holidays even though I told her i wasnt stressed or over eating. Dr. Mahajan-Merritt was careless, under educated and dismissive (likely due to being under educated). It's sad that at the very least she didn't make an effort to compensate her incompetence by being more attentive. She provided no patient education and rushed the appointment which required a 2 month wait to be seen for some concerning issues.
