She is a fantastic eye doctor I have had her as my optomologist since I was 19 (am 45 now) She is a fantastic eye doctor. Very professional and very thorough.......She also does surgery as well (and can be heavily booked) so she definitely knows a few things about eye health The last few years, I've gone for my exam, the wait time isn't as long as before (mind you, back then we didn't have phones and tablets to occupy us) My grandmother had her as an optomologist too, and now my sister and her family (who needs vision care) ... read more
I have seen Dr Paton at the emergency clinic in Squamish for many years and always appreciated her direction , advice and knowledge. 2026 update. I now have been under Dr Patton's care for around 10 years and am always impressed with her professionalism , skill and staff. I concider myself fortunate to be Dr Paton's patient ! I hope this review is helpfull .
IF I CAN 0 STARS I WOULD!! Doctor Paton needs to start managing her time well! If you can’t take appointments on time than DONT TAKE TO MANY PATIENTS!!!! Wait times are longer than 5 hour so make sure you bring a sleeping bag because you will need one!! She almost spends like a hour WITH ONE PATIENT!!! I’m beyond annoyed for the past three years I have came to her I never left the office before 8 hours!! DO BETTER OR TAKE LESS PATIENTS!!!
Dr Paton is astonishing. She collaborated so well with my Mom’s neuro-opthamologist and neurologist to help monitor a tumour that was pressing on her optic nerve; she had so much compassion for my Mom’s dementia, and had lots of tricks to figure out Mom’s optic health when Mom had trouble understanding directions. So professional, incredibly proficient in her field, knowing what to look for. Diabetes. Cataracts. Tumours in the brain. Dementia. Over decades. Wow.
EDITED : I have been waiting almost 5 months for her to simply sign a referral so that I can see a specialist. I’ve called multiple times with the same answer: that it’s just under a pile of other requisitions yet to be signed. Although I still stand by my perspective on her skills below, to leave requisitions unsigned for so long feels medically irresponsible. Dr. Paton is one of the most exemplary eye doctors I've ever encountered (having seen eye doctors multiple times a year since the age of 5, for glasses, eye surgery, ... read more
