Dr. Mithoefer was thorough (he physically examined my knee, which my other Dr. did not do.) I was impressed with Dr. Mithoefer's breadth of knowledge and his (obvious) level of experience, which added to my diagnosis/prognosis. He listened carefully, asked probing questions, and gave honest feedback. This (one) appointment was more helpful than 3 years with my other doctor. I came away with a realistic treatment plan and I am able to avoid surgery, at least for a few more years.
I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Mithoefer and the whole BBJI team for my knee surgery. The entire process was seamless and efficient, from the initial consultation thru surgery and postop period. Nobody wants to need an orthopedic surgeon, but if the need ever arises again, I’m happy to know where I’d go. Dr. Mithoefer strikes the perfect balance of efficient and thorough care. I have know Dr.Mithoefer for over 10 years when he first did arthroscopic surgery on my Right knee. I have been pain free for almost 10 years. I have also seen his PA off and on for the past several years. He presents as very thoughtful medically, approaching the presenting issue conservatively in terms of treatment , trying alternatives prior to surgical intervention.
