오늘 92살이신 어머니를 모시고 주치의를 바꾸고자 내원 했었습니다. 30분 가량 차근차근 어머니의 싱태를 질문 하시고 설명해 주시는데 저도 내년이면 60이 되는 나이라서 그간 만난 의사들을 연상 해 보았지만 이런 임영빈 의사 같은 분은 처음 이였습니다. 아 진짜 우리가 원하던 의사구나. 그런 생각이 들면서 지난밤 돌고래들을 만났던 꿈이 좋은 꿈이였구나 .그런 생각이 들었어요. 우리 어머니가 복이 많으셔서 마지막 의사분을 이런 분을 만나셨다는 생각도 들었습니다. 어머니 손을 잡으시고 등근육을 만져 보시면서 차근 차근 설명 해 주시더군요. 고맙고 감사 합니다. 댓글 쓰는 사람이 아니라서 두서 없이 썼네요. 그래도 쓰고 싶었어요. 다른분들께도 알려 드리고 싶었습니다. 안녕하세요 저는 69세로 LA한인타운에서 26년 동안 미주베델교회를 섬기는 정요한(John Chung) 목사입니다. 3년 전에 임영빈 선생님을 주치의로 모시고 건강은 물론 고체중때문에 상담을 받았습니다 임영빈선생님 만날때 제 키 175cm(5' 9") 체중이 210파운드였습니다 임선생님께서 저에게 제가 지시하는대로 잘 따라오면 체중을 많이 줄일 수 있다고 하면서 170Lbs대 까지 줄여보자고 하셨습니다. 처음 시작은 GYM에서 다리근력운동부터 시키셨습니다. 그 다음은 팔근력운동을 하고, 다음은 천천히 걷기, 빠른 걷기운동가벼운 달리기 등 시키는 대로 꾸준히 했습니다. 체중을 감량할 수 있다는 그 말을 들은 저는 좋으면서도 가능할까하는 의구심이 먼저 들었습니다. 마치 성경에 사라 나이 90세에 아이를 갖는다는 말에 좋아서 웃음을 보이는 것처럼 저도 좋지만 의구심이 들었습니다 ! 결국 사라 나이 90세에 이삭을 낳은 것처럼 저에게도 기적이 일어 났습니다. 2025년 1월 20일에 177.8파운드가 되었습니다 (사진 참조) 일년 여 만에 결... read more

Dr. Rheem always listens to me, the patient, very carefully, answers any - even silly - questions patiently, and explains what is happening to me until I fully understand in the easiest way or sometimes by referring me to an article. He prioritizes teaching me how to maintain my health best and prevent from getting worse through healthy diet and exercise over drugs.
