I attended High School with Dr. Gosal, he was National Honor Society, Football Team, and overall, one of the nicest, smartest and most sociable big fellas (Center Senior HS, Class of '77). I am in New Mexico now, yet if I lived in the KC metro area, Dr. Gosal would be my top choice as a trustworthy, extremely intelligent, well rounded person for professional-grade advice. Dr. Gosal prescribed Lithium to me without even having me take the blood tests necessary to see if I was a candidate for this heinous drug. He prescribed a dangerous dose which nearly killed me. Put him out to pasture. He shouldn’t be allowed to prescribe medication. Do Not use this thoughtless doctor!!!
Couldn't recommend. Myself and a parent saw Dr. Gosal and both of us stopped seeing him. He once asked me how my kids were doing (I was a teen at the time with no children). He on a couple occasions had me confused with someone else. Any time I had issues he would up my medication instead of exploring maybe a lower dose of a different medication. I work in healthcare and have had patients on a third of the dose I was taking whos symptoms seemed more severe than my own. Made me feel drugged. In the end I just couldn't trust h... read more
This is a terrible person!!!!!
I, as well as my (now adult son) were both patients, individually, under the care of Dr.Gosal in the past. Recently having relocated back to Sedalia from Kansas City, I am hopeful to find he is accepting new patients at this time due to the "comfort level" and general disposition for. I do believe that it is important in educating ourselves all appropriate methods of mental health disorders&treatments available&how medication ISN'T the only option(ie). Dbt therapy(4me) is highly recommended too
Truly a smart man. He is not a drug dealer, he is fearless in his pursuit of finding a solution to your problems. He always takes time to address any issues I bring up, and has always provided compassionate but direct insight. Been seeing him forever. Always feel enlightened and BETTER after all my appointments. He is totally non-judgmental on any topic presented.
Dr. Gosal is very good at what he does and he is very knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain my conditions and answers every question I may have. I have enjoyed going to him for the last few years.
Spends little time talking of following up on prescriptions. Very much medication oriented treatment.
Dr. Gosal's specialty is prescribing meds for psychiatric conditions. It isn't talk therapy. Please be aware of this. For cognitive therapy, unfortunately, your insurance will probably not pay for a psychiatrist. You'll be sent to a counselor, therapist, or possibly a psychologist none of which can prescribe meds If meds are called for that's where Dr. Gosal enters the picture. Having said that I've gleaned more insight during conversations with Gosal than any counselors.
