After filling out a form the receptionist gave me, I waited for 50 minutes. The doctor then came out into the waiting area and I realized she had not been seeing anybody the whole time. I said something about my appointment only to find out the assistant/receptionist had not bothered to notify her I was there. The receptionist tried to reschedule me for another day after showing no regret for ignoring me the entire time. Though I was not a new patient, I will not be returning.
I doubt that you could ever find an eye doctor as good as Dr. Joy. She gives the best and most thorough exams. She takes her time with me and explains things. I’m so satisfied. I’ll continue to brag about her to my friends. Her receptionist was wonderful too. You won’t be disappointed with them.
Dr. Joy is a good and thorough optometrist. I would have given her a 5 star for that. The reason for the 3 star is due to the lateness when you make an early morning appointment. If you make a 10:30 am appointment, you would expect them to be there. Receptionist got there at exactly 10:32 am, Dr Joy did not arrive until 11:20 am. Instead of making it inconvenient for patients and you can't arrive on time to see them, don't book patients at those times if you know you will not be on time to see them. By far my worst experience with an optometrist ever. I made an appointment with her last year, and it took her forever to figure out my prescription. Which whatever, my eye-site is terrible. So she suggested we make a follow-up appointment to make sure everything with the prescription felt okay. When I arrive for the follow up appointment her office door was locked and she never answered my phone calls or followed up with me about missing the appointment.
