I saw the doctor for knee pain issues. The doctor is NOT a psychiatrist. Physiatrists specialize in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R), and they diagnose and treat nonsurgical treatment for people with pain and rehabilitation issues. I am so pleased with the Drs care. He used an ultrasound to draw fluid from my knee. Then he injected a cortisone medication. I would say my walking and movement is about 75% improved.
I have been a patient of Dr. Rothenberg for many years because he is a wonderful doctor. Extremely patient listens to my complaints and body problems. He does not rush the office visit. He works well with his staff and the office visit is organized and on time. I had a hip replacement and I have a spine deformity.
Dr. Rothenberg is amazing! He is very knowledgeable and has great bedside manner. He takes time to listen and never makes you feel rushed. He recommended me to a great physical therapist and I have now improved a great deal! I am starting to get my quality of life back and am hopeful I will make a full recovery.
