He is an amazing, compassionate, and highly versed doctor. I have been with him for 7 years and he changed my life. Depression and anxiety are monsters within. Not for Dr. Cohen, I might not be here. I owe him my life!
Dr. Cohen has given me a new meaning to live. He has correctly diagnosed me and gave me the perfect plan so I can still keep living. Every appointment he always wants to make sure my medicine is correct and if I'm having any concerns. He spends time with me and I never feel rushed.
He always listened to me and took my concerns seriously. He is very knowledgeable about psych meds and very skilled and caring.
I have done everything I could to get help, My husband and I searched and searched for a psychiatrist that could help me and find the right treatment/medication that would work. I was put on a waitlist for 4 months and when I was supposed have my appointment he called and told me that he thinks that I would be putting him and his staff at risk and that I need to cancel and reschedule, ( I had a sinus infection) I’ve been having lots of bad side effects from the medication I was put on, so I called to reschedule and was told ... read more
good. Dr. Cohen was very helpful.
I saw Dr. Cohen for about a year. He seemed just okay. Another review rings true-- he also angrily dismissed me for no reason over a minor misunderstanding when I was distressed. The issue was not drugs or prescriptions. His anger was shocking and confusing. That reviewer says that the same thing happened to him/her at about the same time.
Dr Cohen is really only good for writing prescriptions. Poor patient relations but if you are just looking for drugs he is your guy.
Thoughtful, consistent, straightforward, knowledgeable. If you expect a baby-sitter/hand-holder than he is not your man. The bottom line is that he has helped me and I'm better now than I was before I saw him.
Dr. Cohen is an answer to my prayers. I know that he genuinely cares about me and is always receptive to discuss all of my current options. He listens intently to whatever I'm dealing with at my appointment and returns phone calls very promptly. I wish that there were more doctors who would provide me with the same level of compassion as Dr. Cohen does.
